Haisley needed a new bike and, thankfully, her birthday was right around the corner so MiMi (my mom) bought her a 12" Barbie bike for her birthday. We worked on her getting the hang of it for a week or so in the house after her birthday. When she seemed more sure of herself, we decided to take her practicing outside for a test-spin. She was a pro! At first, she would look down at the pedals concentrating on pedaling forward instead of backwards and kept running into the grass but once she finally decided looking up helped keep her on the sidewalk, she was off! We really didn't feel like cleaning up blood and using lots of band-aides so we had gone and bought her elbow, knee and wrist pads for her bike travels. She already had the helmet which I think she'll be outgrowing pretty soon. From the pictures below, you can tell, she LOVED riding on her new bike!
See how she's looking down at the pedals? Not for long!
This is her "look at me" face. She's pretty proud of herself.
She's having so much fun!
Having a blast!
Wheeee!!!
Then we got out her scooter which she loves also.
Daddy making her smile!
