Eggs A Huntin'

We had a busy week gearing up for Easter. When you have a little one, Easter egg hunts are part of the holiday so we went in full force! Last year we didn't go to an egg hunt since she was only six months old and wasn't crawling yet. But, this year we have a walker and a-huntin' we went! We were invited to two different egg hunts that my friends put on during the week. Haisley had no idea what was going on at the first hunt. Most of the time, she would leave her basket and run to an egg, then find another egg. She quickly realized she would need something to hold them in so she could get more than two :). So, at the next egg hunt she held her Elmo bunny basket and went all out! She couldn't get enough eggs in her basket.

For Easter Sunday, we were invited to the Scoma's and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the Billings' beautiful home. We had so much food to eat and Haisley even had pink and purple eggs to hunt along with an Easter basket filled with goodies as her prize for finding all of her eggs. We had a great weekend! Thanks Scoma's for letting us join in your family gathering!

I love this picture. Notice the cross in the background? A remembrance of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. An amazing and selfless sacrifice!

Harrison giving Haisley an egg. So cute!

Notice she has an egg in each hand? Yeah, this changed at the next hunt for sure!

We went to Sara's house last week and hunted again in her backyard. She loves to play on Reid's toys outside.

Haisley and Reid - She has really taken to Reid and is the first child she is enamored with. When she sees him, she points at him and says, "Reid, Reid, Reid" over and over again. She shows off for him and if she falls or gets hurt, she doesn't react because she doesn't want him to see her cry. It is hilarious!

Haisley is the only girl out of this group of friends' babies. Each one of my friends have two boys and then there's Haisley. They are all really sweet boys so she fits in well.

I made these Easter egg cakes which say, "Happy Easter Scoma's". I also made mini cupcakes with color flow icing tulips and Easter eggs on top. Pure sugar!

Haisley liking how Zachary wrapped his hand around her finger. She loves babies!

Cousin Anthony showing Haisley some of the goodies from her Easter basket she got for finding all of her eggs. He is so good with her. He played with her forever!
