Peach Pickin'

PoppaD and PattiCake came to visit last weekend and went with us to a local peach farm. I wanted to show Haisley that fruit doesn't originate from the grocery store! It was a great educational lesson, I must say! The peaches were ripe and ready to be eaten. We just let Haisley go at them and pick whichever ones she wanted. She's a good peach picker! It was really hot the day we went but we survived!

Mmm...peaches!

Look, peaches!

After showing her how to pull a peach off one time, she was good to go on her own!

One peach down, two bagfuls to go!

And more peaches...

Thanks PoppaD!

Oh, there they are!

She loved dropping them in the bag.

There were six feet tall sunflowers that were breathtaking!

The wildflowers attracted beautiful butterflies.

Here's a close-up of the butterfly.

"Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a chicken, bock, bock, bock, bock" - One of Haisley favorite songs. She is showing her chicken sign in this picture!
The rooster was very protective and a bit angry of us stepping into his territory. The chicken could care less. Haisley wanted to pet them so bad!

Instead we went for the dog. Much safer!

Job well done! We bought the peaches and went home to make peach cobbler. So good!
