A Cowboy Christmas

Christmas is in full swing at our house with parties and events happening almost simultaneously. We have been going to Christmas parties, family gatherings and even a little football watching! We went to a Dallas Cowboys game in the new stadium and had a blast. We had a suite on the floor level and got to enjoy it with several friends and family members. Our suite included a great parking pass, access to pretty much anywhere in the stadium, food and drinks, and an experience of a lifetime. Justin's parents came down for the game so we opened Christmas presents with them. Last week, Haisley and I ventured to the mall to do the dreaded Santa visit. My friend, Sara, and her son, Reid, went with us so we could endure the moment together. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We got the picture we needed for the scrapbook and blog and even got to walk right up to visit Santa. Once we were done, the line was very long so we got lucky!

Uncle JerryDon (my mom's younger brother) and Jared, his son

This picture explains my cousins. They're always goofing around. There was a limo outside of the stadium so the boys took a picture in front of it!

Us

A picture of the huge big screen. It is definitely a must-see in person. We went to the first football game ever played in the stadium (OU vs. BYU) and got to experience this screen again. It is truly magnificent!

Pre-game festivities

These football players were praying before the game. Always nice to see someone praying in public.

The cheerleaders. This is how close we were to the field. Crazy, huh???

Say cheese!

And, who you really came to this blog to see, Haisley. This is her new trick - She stands up on the handle of the bottom of the oven and holds onto the top handle and looks on the countertop. Kinda cute but a real problem when I have the stovetop on. One more thing I'm going to have to baby-proof!

This is her dancing. I will post a video of her dancing soon. It is hilarious!

She got the hang of opening Christmas presents very quickly. We had a pre-Christmas opening extravaganza with Justin's parents. She had so much fun with the wrapping paper and sacks of books. I think by Christmas she will have it down!

PoppaD (Justin's dad) showing her wrapping tissue paper.

PattiCake (Justin's mom) showing Haisley the calendar I made for them.

This is another thing she's always doing. She steps up on the first step to our stairs and attempts to take the gate down. Another accident waiting to happen!

She's really getting the hang of her pony. I think this will be one of her favorite toys for several years to come!

This is Sara and Reid, our friends, who went to see Santa with us. Sara is expecting baby #2, another boy named Grant, in February.

So here she is on Santa's lap. What a miracle she is just sitting there without completely having a meltdown. Prayers really do come true!!!

This is her picture with Santa. So precious!
And this is me getting her attention for the camera. Obviously my rendition of "Jingle Bells" wasn't inspiring enough for a big smile but at least she wasn't crying!

One more picture with Santa. I had to give him my wish list too!

Here are the two brave souls that survived visiting Santa, Haisley and Reid.

Keep visiting the blog. More Christmas pictures soon!
